About the event:

Come and spend a magical day with our very own Creole Voodoo Mama in one of the most magical spaces in Lancashire, Mama’s Magic & Mojo Shop.  We’ll spend the day learning about all things herbal and botanical folklore, medicine and magic, as well as LOTS of making, to learning about Bach Flower Remedies and making your own treatment bottle! Our retreat days always include a grazing platter lunch with drinks available all day. The shop itself will be closed to customers, so we will have the whole shop as our magical playground on the day! Tickets are strictly limited to 16 places only!

⭐️  Make your own magical spice blend for your kitchen that also creates a magical boost

⭐️ Make your own herbal & botanical tea to take home

⭐️  How intention and prayer was traditionally worked into herb use

⭐️ The Materia Magica and how to build your own

⭐️ Folk remedies for common complaints

⭐️ Learn the difference between a poultice and a compress

⭐️ How herbs were used in charms and pouches for British folk magic and within mojo bags and gris gris bags for New Orleans voodoo and hoodoo

⭐️ Using herbs to cleanse in British folk magic, New Orleans voodoo and hoodoo, and Native American practises

Background:

Sally (aka Mama Sal) is a British folk witch, rootworker and New Orleans Voodoo Mama based in Lancashire with Creole heritage, just around the corner from the famous Pendle Hill which was the site of the Lancashire Witch Trials. She is a bare foot in the grass, foraging, natural living, homesteading, nature loving kinda gal, born and raised as a British folk witch (Grandmother and Mother) and Creole rootworker (Grandfather) 47 years ago and has had the honour and pleasure of writing for, being interviewed for or working with some amazing companies, brands and media over the years such as The BBC, The Daily Mail, Fox News, USA Today, Reuters, The Walt Disney Corporation, Spirit & Destiny Magazine, Fate & Fortune Magazine and many, many more. Sally has been teaching all things magical since 1995 and has taught, created, spoken at and run over 750 workshops and courses.
